MAS Freedom Concerned About Alleged Palin Ties to Alaska ‘Separatists’

MAS Freedom expressed concerns today about reports that Governor Sarah Palin of Alaska, the Republican Vice Presidential nominee, has had long ties to the Alaskan Independence Party (AIP), the third largest political party in Alaska and an advocate to a referendum that would give Alaska residents a political option to revoke Alaska’s status as a U.S. state. The AIP vigorously supports Alaskan home rule and the abolition of gun control regulations, and is thought by many to be a haven for separatists in the state. MAS Freedom will continue to investigate these allegations and report on this topic.

MAS Freedom Executive Director Mahdi Bray stated, “These allegations of Governor Palin’s ties to a radical-separatist Alaskan political party raise serious doubts about her real allegiance to the United States as a whole, and her suitability in being considered for national political leadership.”
